Well, I just happened upon your blog this evening and I’ve been perusing it for about an hour already (the video was good). I have found your postings quite interesting and well written. I hit your 12/27/06 post first from Google and have read a few others since. I feel the same about many of your “Anti” Creed statements (12/23/06). One that I don’t quite follow what you were thinking was the following (specifically, the second sentence):
I do not believe that God made a mistake when he created the world or when he gave humanity a body. Rather I believe that life as the Bible defines it cannot be simply “spirit” but body and spirit joined together.
I’m about to call it a night. I’ll definitely return to read more when I can.

The comment about creation and bodies is directed toward a certain view of “spirituality” that (in my opinion) has more to do with neoplatonism or gnosticism than biblical theology. If you want to explore that more search “heaven” or “eschatology” on this blog and look through the series I did on Heaven. It runs through twelve essays I believe.

Just checked in to see your recent posts. Enjoyed the music. Music has always been one of the avenues through which God has spoken to me most powerfully. I’m amazed at the different genres through which this is true. I watched and listened to the Toby Mac offering and I don’t regret it. It picked up my spirits and made me smile. I admire your “wheels” in the photos of the previous post. I always knew you were born to be wild.
Toby Mac’s album “Portable Sounds” is pretty good all around. If you’re into buying albums (most people just buy single songs nowadays), I would strongly recommend it.
