Mountains, Rainbows & Sunsets

Mountains, Rainbows & Sunsets
Friday afternoon we had a little bit of rain. The black clouds were sitting over the Rincon Mountains to the east of my house. A perfect rainbow, from horizon to horizon, was superimposed on those dark clouds. This picture captures part of the bow but does not do anything like justice to the scene.

Here is another photo of the same part of the rainbow

This is what was 180 degrees away from the rainbow to the west …

As I pointed out these pictures are fairly tame to what God was putting on display in the sky.

    Bobby,
I’ve been following the things you have taught about heaven and God’s creation. About what it truley means. While I am not a scholar and it tests my understanding, I’ve been asking God about what He means when He comes back.

When God speaks to me,He always tells me to trust in Him.To test the sincerety of the heart and depend only on His character .

Part of His character that speaks to me tells me He is not a God who can lose because He is a God of victory. He pursues what is good and what is His. To do otherwise or to think otherwise, would lessen who He is. For Him to give up the Glory of what He Himself created would be like giving up a part of Himself. I see the beauty of the pictures you just posted, and I can not believe Our Lord would give up that part of Himself. Maybe, just maybe the earth is similar to us. Something to be unveiled and laid bare of all adornments, so that God’s glory can truley be seen.

Nick, You are right about the double rainbow. It was not as faint in the sky as it turned out in the photo but it is visible.
