Traveling …

Author: Bobby Valentine | Filed under: Bobby's World

As I write this I am in the Atlanta International Airport … but I can’t get online. They want me to pay to get online!! I was reading a little bit of Jim McGuiggan’s recent book The Dragon Slayer that I picked up from Jack Martin and it is a good read so far.

My visit with the folks at Green Ridge was great. I met a lot of people that I can now thank God are my friends. I found folks who read my blog and I never knew it. I was uplifted and encouraged as much as I uplifted and encouraged them. It is interesting how God works sometimes is it not. I thank the church there for their graciousness and for putting up with my feeble attempts at preaching and teaching. There may be some extra stones in their crowns for putting up with that, 😉

Well my plane has arrived … I hope it works better than the last 757 I was on …

Blessings on all,
Bobby V

Airports requiring payment to get online is very annoying. You can get free wi-fi in places like Fort Wayne and Kansas City, but the big-time airports like O’Hare and Atlanta charge for it. D’oh!

Hope you made it home on time and in one piece.

Soon you will have to pay to stand in line.

I hope you got home without too much trauma. We really enjoyed having you in TN and I really feel uplifted and hopefully more on track spiritually after listening to your talks.
Try not to long for our humidity too much. Today it’s 98 and oppressively humid.
    Take care,

Bobby, I was one of those that had the priveledge to hear you at GreenRidge this past weekend. I very much enjoyed hearing your insights even more so than reading your writings. It was nice to finally meet you in person. I hope that you will consider me as one of your new “friends” as well as your sister in Christ. Thank you again for sharing the weekend with us.

The airlines will soon be hanging webbing in the back. One weaves their arms in the webbing to hang on. If you want an actually seat that will be an additional charge.
There will be a charge if you want to breathe their air as well.

I was quite suprised to hear (Friday) that you were in my old “hometown” this past weekend. If I’d known you were headed that way I might have squeezed in a visit–maybe even let you buy me a cup of coffee in Atlanta! Greenbrier. Greenridge. Memories. Interesting indeed. Drop me a line sometime.

    PS. Hello Dukes!

Muriel it was great to visit with you. You have two great sons and it was an honor to meet them. Glad you are one of my new friends. Keep in touch.

Kelly it was also a blessing to meet you and talk. Anytime you need anything I can help you with let me know.

Ben I had no idea that you were connected with Green Ridge until Charles Moran told me you were Jack’s son-in-law. I said “whoaa!” Sorry we missed each other once again.

Alan you are right. Now the airlines are going to be cutting back on their already meager “snack” service. I asked the FA if I could possibly have TWO pretzels!! 😉
